Hospice recognizes dying as a natural part of the living process and focuses on maintaining the quality of remaining life. mvi HospiceCare offers support to patients and families during illness and beyond. We focus on the unique needs of each patient and their families during the final stages of illness and during the bereavement period.

Become a Hospice Volunteer

  • Companion Volunteers – Provide companionship to hospice patients in their own homes. Must be 18 years of age. Flexible volunteer training is provided.
  • Administrative Volunteers – Providing support to the Volunteer Coordinator in the daily Hospice office duties; including filing, mailings, data entry and phone correspondence.
  • Bereavement Volunteers – Supporting our patients’ loved ones during their bereavement period through telephone conversations, visits, mailings and attending monthly Bereavement Support Group meetings.
